The painfully woke aren’t content with merely feeling superior to the unwoke. They want to shove their enlightened ideas of personal identity politics down everyone’s throat.
And if you disagree or dissent, you will be punished.
That’s how the Loudoun County (Virginia) public school district rolls.
The school board is proposing a radical new code of conduct policy, according to Jarrett Stepman of the Daily Signal, that is “akin to something you may see in the defunct Soviet Union or Communist China.”
Loudoun County Public Schools’ proposed new policy, which the school board take up on Oct. 12, will essentially enforce critical race theory in the public and private lives of teachers and school staff through a code of conduct, Stepman writes.
A draft policy states, “Any comments that are not in alignment with the school division’s commitment to action-oriented equity practices” will be subject to punishment.
“The proposed change would cover all communication by Loudoun County Schools’ employees, on campus or off, by telephone, in person, or on social media,” according to a report from West Nova News.
Speech perceived as “undermining the views, positions, goals, policies or public statements” of Superintendent Eric Williams or the school board will not be tolerated.
“Employees will be directed to report anyone who does not follow the guidelines,” Stepman writes.
For those concerned about such tyranny, the school system insists the policy should not be “interpreted as abridging an employee’s First Amendment right to engage in protected speech.”
Those who say that the policy abridges an employee’s First Amendment right to engage in protected speech will be severely dealt with.
