A professor at a liberal New York private school thinks he knows the culprit behind the COVID-19 outbreak: Capitalism.
In a video, Richard Wolff, visiting professor at The New School, insists capitalism has made a “mess of the coronavirus.”
“Capitalism is stumbling all over itself. It’s proving it isn’t good for the mass of people,” Wolff asserts.
Wolff also argues, in an article titled, “Coronavirus: A Capitalist Crisis,” that President Donald Trump’s “blame” for the coronavirus outbreak on anything other than a failed capitalist system is “racist, divisive, and ignorant.”
Bizarre criticism, but not surprising coming from an academician acclaimed in socialist circles as a “Marxian Economist.”
What Wolff’s personal communist manifesto doesn’t note is that the pandemic — with sweeping, authoritarian government control over just about every aspect of life — is actually teaching Americans what it would be like to live in socialist/communist nations — such as Cuba, Venezuela and China.
Empty store shelves. Limited supplies. “Non-essential” businesses closed at the whim of a government order. Centers of faith shut down. Travel bans. Cramped, crowded, inadequate health care. This is the road of marxism, a road rejected by all but the painfully woke.
