Forget the mint on the pillow and the free continental breakfast.
San Francisco homeless addicts are receiving free booze, marijuana and methadone while hunkering down at hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Word first broke about the extended “hospitality” when a man who describes himself on Twitter as a “Formerly homeless addict” wrote, “I just found out that homeless placed in hotels in SF are being delivered Alcohol, Weed and Methadone because they identified as an addict/alcoholic for FREE. You’re supposed to be offering treatment. This is enabling and is wrong on many levels.”
According to Fox News, The city’s department of public health confirmed the report on Twitter.
“These harm reduction based practices, which are not unique to San Francisco … help guests successfully complete isolation and quarantine and have significant individual and public health benefits in the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The city claims taxpayers are not paying for the high-inducing room service, but they are picking up the tab for the hotel rooms.
Wonder if the lib city has asked the front desk for a Woke wake-up call.
