Questioning the Chinese Communist Party is racist, according to the higher ed Woke who see white supremacy lurking around every corner.
Emerson College’s speech police are targeting the school’s Turning Point USA chapter after students reported group members handing out stickers critical of the ChiComms.
As Campus Reform reported, the sticker features a character from the popular video game Among Us with a hammer and sickle on its side and has a caption that reads “China kinda sus.”
“Sus” is an abbreviation for “suspicious” commonly used by gamers.
A number of students, organizations, and college officials have condemned Emerson TPUSA, claiming that the sticker promotes bigotry towards Asians.
William P. Gilligan, Emerson’s Interim president, called the stickers “disturbing” and claimed that they featured “anti-Chinese messaging inconsistent with the College’s values.” He was launching an official investigation.
The Turning Point Chapter is criticizing China’s brutal regime, not its people. And there’s much to criticize. Just ask Human Rights Watch. Just ask the Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in the northwest region of Xinjiang, being murdered, tortured and detained by the communist government.
“We can criticize the atrocities committed by a country’s government” KJ Lynum, the club’s treasurer, told Campus Reform, “without it reflecting our view of the people who come from that country.”
But the real crime to Emerson’s painfully Woke is stickers.
And now the school’s administration will act like the Chinese Communist Party in rooting out dissenters against the Chinese Communist Party.
Emerson TPUSA officers told Campus Reform that they received an email from the college’s Community Standards Department informing them of the investigation. Until the investigation is concluded, Emerson TPUSA is prohibited from holding meetings or engaging in any other kinds of club activities.
Sounds a lot like communist China.
