A University of Michigan lesbian crafting group is facing charges of bias for excluding transgender women born male.
In launching last spring, “Lez Get Crafty” limited membership to lesbians looking to “express their creative side.” Flyers said as much, that the group was only for “lesbian Womyn-born-Womyn.”
In short, transgender women need not apply.
It didn’t take long for an offended student to file a bias complaint. The student, according to The College Fix, reported receiving “multiple complaints” from an LGBTQ rights group on campus. “Women in our community feel targeted by this kind of exclusivity,” the student wrote.
Lez Get Crafty’s “discriminatory language” has “subjectified” students, according to the complainant.
It seems nobody’s happy in Woke Land.
