All Woke Up: Lori Lightfoot wakes up?

It’s a nightmare for the woke when they’re forced to wake up.

Welcome to radical wacko Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s world.

On Tuesday, Lightfoot begrudgingly acknowledged that Chicago residents are living in fear after a mob of looters ravaged portions of the city’s downtown, River North and Lincoln Park.

“People are fearful. They are afraid. And it’s up to us as leaders to offer concrete solutions and a path forward. And that’s what we’re gonna continue to do,” she said, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Maybe that’s because the liberal mayor has pandered to the “peaceful protesters” in the marxist Black Lives Matter movement that has attracted militants and criminals ready and willing to to tear the city down. She has been a leading proponent of the cancel culture.

The same mayor who ordered statues of Columbus removed from Chicago parks in the dead of night also castigated President Trump for daring to send in federal officers to help restore order to a city under siege by violence.

Now, Lightfoot has had to concede the same violent demonstrators she has applauded are really just criminals terrorizing the city she’s failed.

What a nightmare for the painfully woke.
