As the school year begins, nothing says welcome back students — and anarchy — like a principal screaming “F… the police!”
Steve Lysenko, assistant principal at Spencerport High School in Rochester, N.Y., dropped by a recent Black Lives Matter protest and recorded himself screaming anti-cop vitriol, according to the College Fix.
Lysenko, forger of young minds, declared the Rochester Police Department was doing a “shitty-ass job,” and peppered his screed with plenty of F-bombs. He joined protesters denouncing the death of Daniel Prude, a 41-year old black man who died a week after he stopped breathing in police custody. Prude was running through Rochester’s streets naked at the time of his arrest, and law enforcement officers had put a hood over him to stop him from spitting. They held him down for about two minutes, according to police records.
Lysenko identified himself on the video as “president of the local chapter of the national association for multicultural education.”
Spencerport school officials say they stand “in solidarity in support of racial equality and systemic change,” but they will not condone their activist assistant principal’s choice of language. District officials claimed they will address the “personnel” matter confidentially.
In a recent letter to freshman, Lysenko said he was looking forward to working with the incoming students. The letter did not include an anti-police rant. Perhaps the assistant principal will save that for the school pep rally.
