A lot of liberal politicians like to say they want to defund the police — until they need police protection.
Case in point, U.S. Rep. Cori Bush. The Missouri Democrat on Thursday told CBS News, “…defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police. And put that money into social safety nets, because we’re trying to save lives.”
And the first life Bush wants saved is her own. Not through “social safety nets,” but with costly personal security.
The Hill recently reported Bush has spent nearly $70,000 in personal security since the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol. When we say “spent,” we mean the congresswoman’s campaign wrote the checks. It appears none of the $174,000 the St. Louis representative annually pulls in was harmed in funding Bush’s personal police force.
Asked about her hypocrisy, the hypocrite said, “You would rather me die? Is that what you want to see? You want to see me die? You know, because that could be the alternative.”
Apparently this radical left imbecile isn’t all that concerned about the people who are dying every day in violent neighborhoods across this country. People who are begging for more police protection, not less. People who would love to have the kind of police protection for their children that Congresswoman Bush can afford.
It’s more of the same from the painfully Woke, who want to get rid of law enforcement until they need law enforcement.
