All Woke Up: The white supremacy of urgency

Empower Wisconsin  | July 8, 2022

Not so fast. In Woke Land, being on time is now considered racist.

As Reason’s Robby Soave reports, Oregon Health Authority Regional Equity Coalition Program Manager Danielle Droppers believes promptness is the mark of white supremacy.

“We recognize that urgency is a white supremacy value that can get in the way of more intentional and thoughtful work, and we want to attend to this dynamic,” Droppers wrote in an email in which she delayed a meeting between agency officials and community members “Therefore, we will reach out at a later date to reschedule.”

She links to a website dubbed “White Supremacy Culture,” which asserts that a “constant sense of urgency makes it difficult to take time to be inclusive, encourage democratic and/or thoughtful decision-making, (and) to think and act long-term.”

Urgency, the bureaucrat drones on, sacrifices the interests of “BIPOC people and communities in order to win victories for white people…”

You know who else has trouble with urgency? The chronically late.

We get the feeling that Ms. Droppers is using equity as a cover for her habitual tardiness.

Regardless, the painfully woke seem to have a lot of time on their hands to invent insane social injustices.

  • Danielle Droppers: Sounds like a personal problem OPINION. Does she want public transportation to run on time, or not.?
Buses, planes, trains? How about medical personal in a hospital emergency room? Ambulance comes in. Patient has severe bleeding. Which works out better for the patient? Someone with a true sense or urgency or her opinion that white folks who show up to do the job are racist because they sense true urgency. It’s an EMERGENCY and lives are at stake!
