Antifa shuts down free speech on campus

Empower Wisconsin | Nov. 20,  2019

Free speech took another beating this week when militant liberals effectively shut down a speech by economist Arthur Laffer at New York’s Binghamton University, according to Campus Reform.

Members of Antifa grabbed up many of the auditorium seats and immediately disrupted the event.

“On Monday, Nov. 18, a speaker sponsored by the College Republicans was disrupted and ultimately prevented from presenting by a large group of students and others,” Binghamton University said in a statement via Twitter Tuesday.

Despite enhanced security measures, the university said “the lecture was disrupted and the speaker was entirely prevented from addressing the audience.” One protester used a bullhorn to  shout over Laffer and students calling for “free speech.”

There were two arrests: bullhorn guy and another protester who allegedly interfered with a police officer.
