Barnes is the Moscow mule of Russian propaganda

MADISON — Maybe the Russia dossier should have focused on Lt. Gov. Mandela
The Democrat running against U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Oshkosh) railed against
U.S. law enforcement in several interviews with Russian-funded RT (previously
known as Russia Today). In fact, Barnes did six interviews total between 2015 and
2016, when he was a state lawmaker.
In one, he declared that police brutality is a “total epidemic” in the United States,
the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
In July 2016, after five police officers were ambushed and fatally shot in Dallas,
Barnes told RT that “police officers across the country haven’t reformed their
patterns and practices” and that “police officers are over-exercising their badges.”
He said on Russian television the deadly assault on the Dallas police officers was
“probably a retaliatory attack.”
RT is a “Russian firehose of falsehoods” according to leading think tank Rand, and
it has been described as Vladimir Putin’s “propaganda bullhorn” by former
Secretary of State John Kerry. RT was created to influence opinion and undermine
American interests.
The Johnson campaign says Barnes happily helped in RT’s mission.

“Wisconsin voters will say ‘nyet’ to Moscow Mandela Barnes and his blame-
America, cop-bashing track record this November,” Johnson campaign

spokesman Ben Voelkel said. “Moscow Mandela wants to defund the police,
abolish ICE, release violent criminals and throw open our borders — all actions
which would make Wisconsin less safe and less prosperous.”
Looks like Barnes is the true Moscow mule of Russian propaganda.
