Biden’s first order of business: Erasing Trump

Empower Wisconsin | Jan. 22, 2021

Joe Biden got right down to work on his first day in office, furiously attempting to erase all remnants of Donald Trump’s time as president.

Biden issued a flurry of executive orders proving that he is committed to expunging the Trump years and proving that he is not the “political moderate” he has claimed to be.

“Mr. Biden, in a first-day series of executive orders, memos, directives and proclamations, halted border wall construction, nixed the travel ban, canceled the commission to celebrate the country’s Founding Fathers and erased the presidential approval of the Keystone XL pipeline,” the Washington Times reported.

“He also restored the U.S. to its role in international agreements, including the World Health Organization and the Paris climate accord.”

Yep, it was a full day of leftist “corrections” to policies that aimed to secure the U.S. border with Mexico, clip illegal immigration, fuel the U.S. economy and check the unbridled infusion of Woke politics into every facet of American life.

Conservative members of Wisconsin’s congressional delegation expressed their alarm.

So much for “unity,” said U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil (R-Janesville).

“Despite promising to work for unity, in his first hours in office, President Biden has managed to destroy American jobs, support giving amnesty to 11 million illegal immigrants, and make plans to enact a radical anti-life agenda,” he said in a statement Wednesday night.

Steil said Biden has set the tone for what we can expect out of this empty vessel of the far left: “legislating by executive orders, championing massive spending bills, and supporting far-left priorities that reverse years of economic growth and job creation.”

Steil joined his Wisconsin colleagues — U.S. Reps. Glenn Grothman (R-Glebeulah), Mike Gallagher (R-Allouez), Tom Tiffany (R-Minocqua), and Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) — in sending a letter to the new president voicing their concerns about his order on the Keystone XL pipeline. They note the pipeline would transport 830,000 barrels of oil per day, support 11,000 U.S. jobs and help lower the price of gas at the pump.TC Energy, the operator of the pipeline, also pledges it would be carbon neutral by 2023. But Biden, virtue singling to the extreme environmentalists in control of the Democratic Party, has decided to abandon the project.

The new president ordered his massive federal bureaucracy to prioritize climate change, racial justice and pandemic initiatives ahead of everything else.

Biden says he’s proud of his executive actions, but they’re really the work of radical left activists. The ones who believe they got him elected, the ones who demand much in return.
