MADISON — Eric O’Keefe has been through Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm’s prosecutorial house of horrors. He’s all too familiar with how the partisan prosecutor operates.
“He’s corrupt,” O’Keefe, long-time political activist and president of the Empower Wisconsin Foundation said Monday night on “The Ingraham Angle” with Laura Ingraham.
O’Keefe and his Wisconsin Club for Growth were hounded and harassed for years by Democrat Chisholm and his fellow government agents in Wisconsin’s notorious John Doe investigation — an unconstitutional probe into dozens of conservative groups.
Chisholm is in hot water again after his office let career violent criminal Darrell Brooks Jr. out of jail on $1,000 bail days before Brooks, according to police, drove his SUV into the Waukesha Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring dozens more.
“(Chisholm) is more concerned with protecting government from the people than protecting people from criminals,” O’Keefe told Ingraham. “They committed crimes in pursuit of innocent people and they allowed criminals to stay on the street.”

As Wisconsin tries to help the victims of John Chisholm’s crimes, I am wary of organizations stepping forward to appeal for donations. Can we trust that the highly visible Waukesha Community Foundation, which is collecting donations, is not committed to a destructive social justice agenda? How does its leader, Shelli Marquardt, fare when we examine the politics of her Foundation stewardship?
We need to hold Chisholm accountable for the Waukesha tragedy….are there any plans to vote to remove him from office or sanction him?
