Fleeing New York City

Empower Wisconsin | Nov. 18, 2020

By Fox News

Nearly 300,000 New York City residents have left the liberal-led Big Apple since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

U.S. Rep.-elect Nicole Malliotakis beat a one-term leftist in flipping a solidly blue 11th Congressional District red. She tells Fox News that her victory and the exodus of New York residents over the past eight months has much to do with voters growing tired of the high taxes and defund-the-police movement led by the metropolis’ leftist leaders.

Malliotakis, the daughter of a Cuban immigrant and vocal opponent of congress’ socialist “Squad,” talks about her big win and what’s next.
