MADISON — You could say U.S. Rep. Ron Kind is dealing with a touchy situation.
As Fox News reports, the La Crosse Democrat made thousands of dollars from a rental property that hosts a massage parlor. Asian Sunny Massage, to be precise, advertises on web sites that list spas where people can pay to have sex, according to the Fox News exclusive.
One of his tenants, according to the news network, is Asian Sunny Massage, formerly known as Impression Spa. It has “advertised on various illicit websites that are known as avenues for illicit sex. Some of such websites are RubMaps, AssortList and BodyRubsMap.”
Impression Spa’s RubMaps page was first indexed in 2018, according to Google. USA Today has described RubMaps as a “Yelp for sex spas.”
“Impression Spa first opened in April 2018 and an ad appeared on BodyRubsMap on its opening day,” Fox New reported. BodyRubsMap has advertised itself as the “best alternative to Backpage,” a now-seized website known as “the largest online U.S. marketplace for sex trafficking.”
The congressman’s office did not respond to Empower Wisconsin’s request for comment.
“This report raises serious concerns, and Wisconsinites in the third congressional district deserve answers from Kind about whether he financially profited from a business engaged in prostitution,” the Republican Party of Wisconsin said in a statement.
