Liberal political consultant Sachin Chheda wants you to know, “It’s okay to cry.”
The former Democratic Party staffer and director of the so-called Fair Elections Project fired off arguably one of the left’s most hyperbolic tweets following Friday’s ruling by the Wisconsin Supreme Court adopting the Republican-controlled Legislature’s political maps.
“This is a big deal and they did a morally repugnant and corrupt thing that devalues the very idea of America and will have negative consequences for hundreds of thousands of real people,” the drama Dem insisted.

Chheda and his leftist friends were verklempt over the court’s audacity in following a 7-2 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that blasted Democrat Gov. Tony Evers’ racially motivated legislative redistricting plan. But then again, the left isn’t big on the rule of law.
Evers, who skipped over parts of the U.S. Constitution in drawing up his maps, called the redistricting decision “outrageous.”
“At a time when our democracy is under near-constant attack, the judiciary has abandoned our democracy in our most dire hour. This is an unconscionable miscarriage of justice,” Evers tweeted.
BREAKING: Today’s redistricting decision by #SCOWIS is outrageous. At a time when our democracy is under near-constant attack, the judiciary has abandoned our democracy in our most dire hour. This is an unconscionable miscarriage of justice. My full statement here ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/jVjJpyr4AT

A little projection perhaps? After all, this is the same governor who just vetoed election integrity legislation, including a bill that would ban private money — like Zuckbucks — from infiltrating the administration of Wisconsin’s elections.
The hypocrisy continued.
“This decision was nakedly political and undemocratic,” Assembly Minority Leader, white liberal state Rep. Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) tweeted.
These maps dilute the power of Black communities in Wisconsin, which experts believe violates the Voting Rights Act. These maps are not representative of Wisconsin — they are a power grab. Today, justice has been denied.

And the icing on the left’s hypocritical cake:
“These maps dilute the power of Black communities in WI, which experts believe violates the Voting Rights Act. This was a nakedly political decision by SCOWI.”
Not only are they hyperbolic hypocrites, they have a troubling ignorance of the law.
The U.S. Supreme Court, aka the experts, last month skewered the previous Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling that adopted Evers’ maps.
“We agree that the (Wisconsin Supreme Court) committed legal errors in its application of decisions of this Court regarding the relationship between the constitutional guarantee of equal protection and the (Voting Rights Act),” the nation’s high court wrote.
The court agreed that Evers’ maps present a racial gerrymander with the goal of “spreading” black voters among several legislative districts seeking a bare majority in each. Evers’ plan created an additional minority “majority” district in Milwaukee, from six to seven. It was a transparently cynical act to try to expand Democratic Party power while diluting representation for black voters. Even Democrats criticized the proposal, after rejecting Evers’ so-called “People’s Maps Commission” maps.
Allowing as much would have truly been a bad day for democracy.
Take the rag away from your face, you liberal hypocrites. Now ain’t the time for your tears.
