Leave it to Evers: Profiles in incompetence

Empower Wisconsin | Jan. 25, 2021

Need a laugh? Sure, we all could use a chuckle these dark days.

The Washington Post … No, that’s not the punchline yet.

The Washington Post interviewed Gov. Tony Evers on Friday for its “Leadership During Crisis” series.

Hilarious.

That’s like interviewing Ted Kennedy on getting a date home safely or Bill Clinton on fidelity in the Oval Office.

Tony Evers strains the definition of a leader and the crisis in question is one he has exacerbated by abusing his powers or failing to act.

Perhaps former Lt. Gov. Rebeca Kleefisch said it best last week in a tweet:

“Ironic — while Wisconsin’s vaccine rollout lags behind virtually every other Midwest state, the Washington Post has decided that tomorrow they’re going to interview Governor Evers on ‘Leadership During Crisis.’

Kleefisch, widely thought to be on the short list of top Republican gubernatorial candidates for 2022, noted the Post would have plenty of crises to choose from — Kenosha burning, unemployment insurance failure, a botched vaccine rollout.

“They might want to look elsewhere for leadership though — Wisconsinites haven’t seen much of that from Tony Evers,” she tweeted.
