MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the vaccine that’s so popular Wisconsinites had to be bribed into getting it.
On Tuesday, Evers and his Department of Health Services marked the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 shot being administered in Wisconsin. He and DHS didn’t commemorate how they botched the rollout of the vaccine. Perhaps that’s a party coming later.
Evers boasted that more than “two-thirds of Wisconsin adults are now fully vaccinated and nearly 90,000 children ages 5 through 11 have received at least one dose.”
The anniversary card didn’t note that DHS had to hand out $100 Visa gift cards, taxpayer-funded bribes to “incentivize” Wisconsinites to get the shot. Or that Evers has effectively forced state employees to get vaccinated through mandatory and constant testing. And Evers isn’t talking about his silence over the past several months on President Joe Biden’s unconstitutional attempt to force COVID shots on employees at businesses with more than 100 workers.
“Wisconsin has been a national leader of getting available shots in arms, and this work has been essential to keeping our kids, families, and communities healthy and safe so we can put this pandemic behind us,“ Evers declared.
The liberal governor said the Badger State couldn’t have injected so many citizens without the dedication of DHS “partners” and “Wisconsinites in every corner of our state.” He should also send a special shoutout to liberal leaders everywhere for their willingness to curtail basic constitutional rights of citizens.
The only vac- day I will celebrate is the day Evers vac-ates the state house.
