Michels on crime

The body count continues to rise.

As of Thursday, there had been a reported 177 homicides in Milwaukee on the year — 27 more than this time last year. The city is on pace to set another record for murders for a third-straight year.

Tim Michels, Republican candidate for governor, spoke to Fox News Digital this week about one of the key issues in the campaign: Rising violent crime.

Michels took aim at the radical left’s defund the police movement, an issue Democrat politicians like Gov. Tony Evers are trying to hide from in their campaigns.

“I find it absolutely crazy that we’re at this spot in America, in Wisconsin, where less police is better, or police are bad. I don’t believe that at all. I believe this is a leadership issue,” he said.
