Optimism plummets in new poll on Biden

The honeymoon is definitely over for President Joe Biden.

A majority of Americans —  nearly 53 percent — say they are not optimistic about the future of America, according to a new Convention of States Action poll conducted by The Trafalgar Group.

The poll of 1,000 likely 2022 election voters finds about 29 percent of respondents are not optimistic at all, while 24 percent say they are not very optimistic.

On the other side, just 16.6 percent say they are very optimistic, while 27 percent are somewhat optimistic.

“Americans are optimistic people. When both Republicans and Independents are tracking almost identically in registering a lack of optimism about our future—and a sizable group of Democrats feel the same way—there is a serious problem,” said Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action.

There is indeed a serious problem, many of them in fact, that not even the pliant, Biden-friendly media can cover up. The heartbreaking scenes of this week’s Biden-led withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan are burned in minds Americans, and that’s not good for the president’s polling.

A separate Trafalgar poll for COS Action found a whopping 69 percent of respondents disapprove of Biden’s handling of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan — nearly 60 percent of those strongly disapprove. Only about 11 percent surveyed strongly approve.

Meanwhile, Biden’s overall approval rating plunged 7 percentage points to 46 percent, the lowest of his presidency, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released earlier this week.

“From Afghanistan to COVID-19 to inflation to foreign policy to basic things like education, Washington DC is failing to solve challenges, and the people are losing hope,” Meckler said. “Our founders did not design a system in which Washington is the answer. State and local governments are solving our problems, and these numbers demonstrate yet again that voters believe the best solutions are close to home.”

  • The Biden voters will not accept the clear evidence of complete incompetency of the administration and its lackeys, the national media. Otherwise ,they would be required to admit their own stupidity and complicity in the attempted intentional destruction of the US society ! Don’t expect the polls to show any Dem’s rejection of Biden’s presidency ,one cannot cure stupidity.

  • I’m becoming more convinced that the Democratic Party, along with certain GOP members, are hell bent on destroying this republic and the ideas on which it was founded.
