Power Up: Hans von Spakovsky on Zuckerberg money

MADISON — Green Bay was just one of many urban, Democratic strongholds that received a hefty check from Mark Zuckerberg-funded, third-party groups to conduct “secure and safe” elections.

Philadelphia, in another battleground state, received $10 million in the strings-attached grant money — doubling the city’s total election budget.

“This money that came in, the vast, overwhelming majority of it went to big urban areas,” Hans Von Spakovsky, manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative at the Heritage Foundation told Empower Wisconsin last week on the Vicki McKenna Show.

Von Spakovsky has been analyzing the money and its impact on November’s election.

The civil rights attorney is our guest on this edition of PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
