MADISON — On Wednesday, House Democrats voted nearly in lock step to impeach Donald Trump, who became just the third president in U.S. history to be charged so.
No Republican voted in favor of the two articles of impeachment — that Trump abused his executive power and obstructed congress.
U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah) told his House colleagues that the impeachment campaign wasn’t about the president’s call with his Ukraine counterpart as the Democrats assert. It was about a party filled with so much hatred for a man and his policies that they would do anything to stop his re-election.
The congressman joined Empower Wisconsin’s Matt Kittle Wednesday on the Vicki McKenna show on NewsTalk 1310 WIBA in Madison.
