A majority of Americans say President Joe Biden does not have the constitutional authority to mandate COVID-19 vaccines, according to a new poll by Convention of States Action.
The poll, conducted by the Trafalgar Group, finds nearly 59 percent of respondents believe Biden overstepped. Frighteningly, nearly 30 percent of the 1,000-plus likely voters surveyed Sept. 10-12 think the president does have the right to make federal employees and workers at private-sector companies get the shot.
Interestingly, 68.2 percent of Independents say Biden exceeded his authority.
“He has lost the American people on this one,” Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action, told Empower Wisconsin’s M.D. Kittle Monday on the Vicki McKenna Show.
Meckler predicts “civil disobedience on a large scale” in the wake of Biden’s orders.
“I travel all over the country, I talk to the grassroots all over the place … all of these people say they’re not taking the shot,” he said.
The national advocate for the limited-government movement has some advice for those facing the mandates.
Mark Meckler is our guest today on this edition of PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
