U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah) has spent the past few days with a congressional delegation at the U.S. southern border, meeting with Border Patrol agents, local law enforcement and customs officials.
The message was the same from all: Walls work.
President Joe Biden made it his first order of business to halt construction of the wall on the Mexico border. The decision comes after some 450 miles of the security system had been constructed.
“They stopped construction on the border wall – even in dangerous drug smuggling corridors that were in the process of being sealed. And they are currently reversing the policies that have discouraged illegal immigration into our country,” states a press release from the congressional delegation issued Monday.
Grothman joined Empower Wisconsin’s Matt Kittle last week on the Jay Weber Show (on NewsTalk 1130 WISN) to talk about Biden’s reversal on the wall and the jobs that he’s killing with his order stopping construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Congressman Grothman is our guest on PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
