MADISON — As high-profile cases of espionage on college campuses rise, U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany wants to know what the University of Wisconsin-Madison is doing to protect itself — and America — from Chinese spying.
In a letter last week to UW Chancellor Rebecca Blank, the Minocqua Republican laid out his concerns and asked whether the university is working with federal agents to make sure the campus isn’t a soft target for espionage.
During an interview with Empower Wisconsin’s Matt Kittle on the Jay Weber Show, Tiffany talked about the research riches being pilfered by Communist China.
The congressman also explained why he joined 106 of his Republican colleagues in backing Texas’ lawsuit against Wisconsin and three other battleground states looking to change the results of a “tainted” presidential election.
U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany joins us today on this edition of PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
