PowerUp: Rep. Gallagher on the ‘new Cold War’ with China

MADISON — As evidence grows that the deadly coronavirus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Allouez) says we’ve learned two things: the mainstream media was again expertly performed its role as “useful idiots” and we are at the cusp of a renewed Cold War with China.

A Wall Street Journal investigation finds the COVID-19 pathogen “has a genetic footprint that has never been observed in a natural coronavirus.” The report is just the latest in a body of new or reemerging evidence casting doubt on the conflicted World Health Organization’s conclusions that COVID-19 began naturally.

Communist China, meanwhile, has repeatedly lied and obstructed a clearer, cleaner investigation into the origins of a virus that has claimed nearly 600,000 American lives.

“This puts a stake in the heart of the responsible stakeholder theory, which is the idea that China can act as a responsible actor on the world stage. I think this proves that they can’t.,” Gallagher told Empower Wisconsin’s M.D. Kittle on the Friday Afternoon Show, on NewsTalk 1130 WISN. “The fact that they’ve corrupted the WHO proves that they cannot be trusted in any International organization, and I think we are at the early stage of a new Cold War with the Chinese Communist Party.”

U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher is our guest today on PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
