Will Hunter Biden ever face justice for the many crimes he’s alleged to have committed? What about ‘the Big Guy’ and the stink of corruption surrounding the Biden family? Will anybody in the FBI be held accountable for manipulating Twitter?
Don’t count on it, says U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson.
The Wisconsin Republican remains concerned the Biden Justice Department will enter into some kind of plea deal with Hunter Biden, downgrade charges and then seal the records — laptop be damned.
While Republicans will soon control the House, Johnson said they’ll encounter the same old problems trying to get Biden’s Department of Justice to answer subpoenas.
“I issued a subpoena to FBI director (Christopher) Wray, with President Trump in office and President Trump wanting that information delivered to us and we never got it,” Johnson told Empower Wisconsin’s M.D. Kittle on Thursday’s Vicki McKenna Show.
“You’ve got a real problem with the congressional oversight now over the years. The administration has realized we virtually have no enforcement power when the Department of Justice is in the control of a Democrat president when you’re trying to do oversight over that Democrat administration.”
Johnson said lawmakers have tried to work around the stonewall, with the help of outside watchdog groups. The senator’s office did so with records requested from Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden’s chief medical advisor and the national face of COVID-19 mitigation.
“We’re down to the last 50 pages of the Fauci emails, we are fighting tooth and nail,” Johnson said. “They will not let us look at those last 50 pages unredacted. Kind of shows you that’s where the incriminating evidence is.”
U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson is our guest on today’s edition of PowerUp, Empower Wisconsin’s podcast.
