MADISON — The Assembly last week passed a resolution that would make Wisconsin the 16th state to call for a Convention of States. Now the question is, will the Senate have the courage to make it happen?
Capitol sources tell Empower Wisconsin that Senate Republicans in the upper house have yet to caucus on the Article V resolution moving through the Legislature. Others say it’s not clear whether the Senate has the 17 votes needed to pass the resolution the Republican-led Assembly signed off on last week.
