Taxpayers socked at The Hop

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett had long been itching to spend all that “free” federal money on a downtown streetcar. Now, Barrett’s got The Hop, a $128 million boondoggle of a streetcar traveling a 2.1 loop in downtown Milwaukee. He’s got big expansion plans for his pet project. The Badger Institute takes a closer look at the costly Hop project in its new video report, “Taxpayers Taken for a Ride: The Milwaukee Streetcar.”
