MADISON — Aaron Rodgers fumbled again.
The Green Bay Packers MVP QB was among several Woke celebrities, climate activists and Native American leaders signing their names to a letter calling on President Joe Biden to shut down the Dakota Access pipeline.
Environmental wackos have been putting on a disorderly show for years at the pipeline, located NEAR the Standing Rock Reservation.
“…(W)e respectfully urge you to reverse another harmful Trump Administration decision and immediately shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) during its court-ordered environmental review,” the letter states.
What Rodgers and his leftist pals don’t mention are the thousands of good-paying jobs — including potentially hundreds in Wisconsin. They probably didn’t care about the 10,000 jobs lost on Biden’s first day in office, when he bowed to environmental extremist demands and signed an executive order shutting down construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
They certainly welcome the loss of about 115 million barrels of crude oil taken out of North American production, with the corresponding output losses of natural gas and natural gas liquids, which would bolster American energy independence.
The celebrities that signed on to the letter like the sound of “carbon neutral” and rabidly respond to the extremist dog whistle of “climate change.” The real-life consequences to thousands of people who don’t make tens of millions of dollars a year tossing a football or starring in a Woke Hollywood movie be damned.
One lawmaker may have expressed it best when he recently told Empower Wisconsin, “We can forgive Aaron Rodgers for being 1-4 in NFC championship games. We can maybe forgive him for dissing milk. But costing hundreds of Wisconsinites their jobs is a bridge too far.”
The Packers quarterback and his out-of-touch leftist friends are, collectively, Empower Wisconsin’s Tool of the Week.
