Tool of the Week: Fear and loathing Robyn Vining

MADISON — The left’s hysterics have been on full display from the first moment they realized they could use the pandemic to pull the levers of power. So, pretty much as soon as COVID-19 hit.

Never let a serious crisis go to waste, in the words of Obama pal Rahm Emanuel. Fear-peddling Democrats certainly have stretched the Emanuel maxim to beyond snapping.

Still, Wisconsin Dems took their panic politics up a notch last week, pushing apocalyptic predictions about a Republican-led resolution ending Gov. Tony Evers’ mask mandate. Actually, the resolution was aimed at taking away the emergency powers Evers has abused over the better part of a year. But it was only about the mask to the pushers.

Of all the liberal grim reapers performing the collective doomsday play, none seemed more ridiculous than state Rep. Robyn Vining. The Wauwatosa Democrat definitely dressed the part.

As Empower Wisconsin tweeted, Vining, making a “We’re all going to die” speech on the Assembly floor, was having a hard time getting her microphone close to her mask and face shield, which was fogging up from her hyperbolic rant.

Vining didn’t care for Empower Wisconsin’s observation. She fired back a defense of her spot welding look.

“Teachers and students and administrators are reinventing education under impossible circumstances, healthcare workers are risking their lives to save ours, small businesses are hustling hard—I’m not too worried abt the mask + face shield + microphone combo as an actual problem,” Vining tweeted.

Here’s the interesting thing about Vining and her fellow fear porn peddlers: They like to talk about “following the science” until science conspires against their political interests.

The reinvention of education — virtual learning — could end if liberal-led school districts would simply follow the science.

A growing body of evidence informs us that our kids should be back in the classroom and off virtual learning. Students stuck in failed online systems are being left behind for no other reason than to appease the unions that have dumped so much money into Dems’ political campaigns and to keep the fear factory firing.

Vining, face shield and all, is a tool of the unions and a performer in the left’s panic play.

For so many reasons, the Wauwatosa liberal is Empower Wisconsin’s Tool of the Week.
