Tool of the Week: Madison School Officials

Empower Wisconsin | Oct. 28, 2019

MADISON — Sometimes the tools get schooled.

Such was the case for the purveyors of the Madison Metropolitan School District’s failed Zero Tolerance policy — perhaps better described as a Zero Intelligence policy.

Madison West High School security guard Marlon Anderson became a national victim symbol for the insanity of ultra wokeness when the school fired him for scolding a disruptive student who used the N-word.

Anderson, who is black, repeated the racial slur in telling the student to stop using it. The student, who also is black, reportedly assaulted the guard with all manner of foul expressions while an administrator stood by and watched.

Anderson was fired after district officials reminded him of the zero tolerance for using the N-word in front of students.

School officials were so locked into their zero intelligence policy that they disregarded the context of the incident, and cost a dedicated employee his job.

After public outcry, including a mass walkout by students in support of Anderson, the district rescinded his termination.

The security guard got lots of backup in a liberal city that is so politically correct it is often demonstrably wrong. The West High School controversy was just the latest incident of unjust social justice.

Even Cher stepped in to the imbroglio. The celebrity tweeted to her 3.7 million Twitter followers that she’d cover Anderson’s legal bills if he wanted to sue. Cher demanded the district apologize to Anderson.

Oh, if the district could turn back time … it might be able to save itself from a national embarrassment. But then it probably wouldn’t have been named Empower Wisconsin’s Tool of the Week.
