You’d better sit down for this.
Portland, perhaps the wokest of the woke West Coast cities, is banning urinals from its remodeled Portland Municipal Services Building.
“We will continue to have gender-specific (male and female) multi-stall restrooms that are readily available to any employee that prefers to use one. But, there will be no urinals in any restroom in the building. This will give us the flexibility we need for any future changes in signage,” chief administrative officer Tom Rinehart told city employees in a February email, according to KGW8, Portland’s NBC affiliate.
Portland toiletcrats followed through, redesigning all the bathrooms to be gender neutral.
The building’s first, third and 15th floors will have large multi-stall communal bathrooms for men and women, the media outlet reported. Every floor will have at least one “any gender” bathroom.
How’s the urinal-free policy going? Doesn’t matter. The toiletcrats have decided what’s in the best interest of city employees.
“I am convinced that this is the right way to ensure success as your employer, remove arbitrary barriers in our community, and provide leadership that is reflective of our shared values,” wrote Rinhardt, formerly a stand-up guy. .
Great reporting. Thanks.
Instead of the floor around urinals being “Sticky” and they always are, the toilet seats will be sticky. Well I suppose you can clean them off if number two is on the agenda.
The men will all leave the toilet seats up. That will put an immediate end to the policy, and emergency urinal installation will ensue in ALL bathrooms. This will allow for any future signage changes in the future.
